Advent: To prepare for Christmas an ecumenical group will meet on 2nd, 9th and 16th December at 8.00pm to look at Advent customs, and the Gospel themes, and to experience this in prayer and song. All welcome - details available from Parish Office. Also we are keeping Posada again – a reminder of the journey to Bethlehem, as the crib figures of Mary and Joseph are offered prayerful hospitality in different homes around the parishes.

WORLD AIDS DAY – 1st December: Special prayers will be said at the 10.30am Holy Communion service in the Parish Centre. This year the international theme of World Aids Day is “Women and Girls” who live with HIV and AIDS, a reminder of how vulnerable some of our sisters are. You may like to use the following prayer from Christian Aid:

Lord, help us to accept the challenge of HIV/AIDS:
to protect the healthy, calm the fearful;
to offer courage to those in pain;
to embrace the dying as they flow into love's unendingness;
to console the bereaved;
to support all those who attempt to care for the sick and dying.
Amen.
