Mothers' Union

Thank you to each and everyone throughout the diocese and beyond who made our 100 year Celebration Service so special.

Our outing was an action packed day with a Viking Splash experience, a stroll round the National Garden Exhibition Centre, a history lesson in Wicklow Gaol and a relaxing meal to finish with.

Sunday Club

Our annual trip to Newbridge House was greatly enjoyed by all. As always, it rained; but the sun emerged strongly by the end of the outing. Thanks to all the leaders for another year of hard work, especially to Lesley Anders and Rachel O’Connor, and to Beryl Stone in Dovetales.

School news

The Board of Management was delighted to appoint Mrs Sandra Moloney as our new principal. A resident of Castleknock, she has been principal of Chapelizod NS since 2000. Married to Colin (Payne), their daughter Chloe is currently with us in Junior Infants. We look forward to welcoming Mrs Moloney in September.

Sadly, we are saying farewell at this time to Teachers Louise Scannell, Ann Hartigan and Jan Nelson, and Special Needs Assistant Emily Wrafter. The retirement of Olive Wilkinson as principal will be marked by a special night in Westmanstown Golf Club on 9 th September to which all parents, past parents and past pupils are warmly invited.
