Clonsilla Project

Building for the future generation

Clonsilla Parish Centre opening:
All systems are go for the official opening of the Clonsilla Parish Centre. We look forward to welcoming the Archbishop on Sunday 11th September at 11 a.m. to perform the opening; many other distinguished guests will also be present. Please note that there will be no 11.30 a.m. service in Castleknock on that day. We particularly invite anyone with a connection to Clonsilla in the past to join us on the day. At the time of writing, the finishing touches are being applied, and a big thank you is due to the team of cleaners and groundspeople who have had to work very hard to keep the church clean and presentable for each Sunday morning. A Centre Management Committee is being set up and we would be interested from hearing from any groups who would like to rent the centre on a regular or one-off basis. Please contact the Parish Office.

Thanks to a very generous parishioner bequest, a wonderful grant of €75,000 from Fingal County Council and a loan from the bank, the financial situation is manageable at present. The Select Vestry will be reviewing things further in the coming weeks and deciding how best to make good the remaining shortfall.

Flower evening:
We are holding another of our very popular flower evenings on Wednesday 7th September, this one entitled “Autumn Glories”. Tickets (€7.00) are available from the Parish Office. Please do come and support us.

BUY A SEAT FOR THE CLONSILLA CENTRE

We have purchased the furniture for the Clonsilla Centre and if you would like to pay for one of the seats (cost €50 per seat), please contact the Churchwardens, the Rector or the Parish Office, or send your donation to Mrs Donna Greenway, Hon. Treasurer, Clonsilla Project.
