Mothers' Union

A great day was had by all who went on our summer outing. We did not have time to do all that was planned, but the day culminated in a lovely meal in the Castleknock Hotel, at which a few others who could not go on the day out joined us. It was voted a super day out by all who partook.

I and the new committee wish to congratulate Muriel Kellett, the outgoing Branch Leader of Castleknock Mothers’ Union, and her committee for their direction and dedication over the last three years, which has been inspirational and leaves myself and the new committee quaking in our boots!

We recently had a fun evening planning our calendar for the next year and hope that everyone is as enthusiastic as we are. We are looking forward to our opening meeting:

YOU are invited to join with us in our Opening Service
on Monday 5th September
in St. Brigid’s, Castleknock
at 8 p.m.

Afterwards, we will have the ‘cuppa’ (time to catch up on the happenings of the Summer) and are hopeful that we will renew old friendships and make some new ones too. Everyone in the Parish is welcome to come along and please feel free to bring a friend too.

By the way, are you any good with knitting? If so, please contact us as we have a monthly knit-in night.

During August, the Youth Club members had a get together in the form of a Video Night. At the time of going to press, a games afternoon / barbecue is being organised.
