USPG
USPG is an Anglican mission agency with a successful 300-year track record of enabling people to grow spiritually, to thrive physically and to have a voice in an unjust world. We do this in partnership with churches around the world, providing the resources - people, money and ideas - that they define as necessary to meet local needs. In 2002, the Parish decided to sponsor the St Anne’s Hospital, Liuli in Tanzania Project as a result of an address given by Karin Johnson of USPG on Mission Sunday. Here is the most up-to-date report from this project. The infrastructure is very limited. Many people walk for days to attend the hospital. Dr Daniel Ndimbo gives us an update. Preventative services Hospital fence Access to the hospital Although we are short of equipment, and short of staff, and often have no fresh water, while the electricity supply is off more than on, we manage to keep on treating the people. Your help through your donations and your prayers have kept us going since 1906. God bless you. We are very grateful for this and hope to keep going another 99 years! In 2004, you raised £15,444 towards St Anne’s Hospital. USPG Projects USPG enables marginalised people to grow spiritually, to thrive physically and to have a voice in an unjust world. As an Anglican mission agency, we do this in partnership with churches around the world, providing the resources – people, money and ideas – that they define as necessary to meet local needs. |
